Karen Higginbottom, PhD joined Lifescience Dynamics in 2020 as Global Head of Market Research and Innovation. She brings over 25 years of oncology experience and 15+ years of healthcare market research specialities to the company.

Karen initially began her career training in Histopathology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge, UK) before completing her PhD in Haematological Malignancies at St Bartholomew’s & The Royal London School of Medicine. She served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at The Institute of Cell and Molecular Sciences of Queen Mary College and was a Visiting Lecturer in Health Sciences at the University of Westminster. Dr Higginbottom is a published, peer reviewed author in the field of oncology.

Karen joined Lifescience Dynamics after an extensive and distinguished career in the Healthcare Market Research Industry. She joins the company from her most recent roles as Vice President and Client Partner at Kantar, and Vice President of Client Consulting for Kantar Health. During this time, she sat on the Gold Rush Leadership Council representing the Health Division across the company’s broader ecosystem, and within the Health Division she was involved in strategic leadership initiatives and key account management.

Prior to her role at Kantar, Karen served as Director and subsequently Vice President in Global Oncology for Ipsos Healthcare, where she was recognized with a ‘Client Engagement’ award for demonstrating excellence in client engagement and relationship development. Her first consultancy role was at Synovate, where she also received an internal company award for ‘Leading through Innovation’.

Karen will be based in the San Francisco office.
