Danielle Drayton, PhD
Danielle Drayton, PhD joined Lifescience Dynamics in 2019 as Executive Vice President, Head of Customer Solutions. She brings deep knowledge of the life sciences industry with proven results in transforming business, product and sales operations to improve productivity, profitability and revenue growth. Having spent her career working with pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the drug development lifecycle, Danielle has particularly deep and varied experience supporting business development, new product planning and lifecycle management. She is a senior leader with proven P&L leadership experience in mature businesses and entrepreneurial environments and has orchestrated numerous company integrations and operational turnarounds as part of Decision Resources Group’s (DRG) many and varied acquisitions over the years.
Prior to joining Lifescience Dynamics, Danielle spent 14 years at DRG working on projects, managing global teams and leading businesses that share the same goal of providing life sciences companies with the insights, advice, data and analytics they need to optimise product investments. At DRG, she held leadership roles in market research, operations, product management, sales and business unit P&L management. Additionally, she launched nearly a dozen new product and service solutions for life sciences companies aimed at helping them understand disease markets through profiling, quantifying and assessing commercial options. She combines her broad knowledge of the life sciences industry with deep specialisation in market research and a penchant for solving complex problems to create products and deliver the solutions that her customers want.
Prior to her career in the life sciences industry, Danielle studied and trained as an immunologist conducting research on the development of specialised blood vessels implicated in autoimmunity and immune system development. She holds a PhD in immunobiology from Yale University and a B.S. in microbiology and immunology from the University of Miami, Florida, and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Harvard Medical School in immunology. As a champion of the STEM disciplines, she remains engaged in the STEM community, serving on the advisory board of the Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center’s Continuing Umbrella for Research Experiences (CURE) Program. She has also been recognised as the 2017 Big Sister of the year by the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston for her commitment to mentoring young women.
